This is a remote position.

Aquarius Strategies has been retained to seek a Business Development Manager to join an established and growing organization in the Workers Compensation/Disability Insurance space. This individual will work closely with insurers, employers, attorneys, and brokers, and acts as the face of the organization to clients. This opportunity requires a passion for building new meaningful relationships in an assigned region as well as expanding on the existing ones. The right candidate will be responsible for growing and fostering stakeholder relationships by sharing the value and benefits of products and services. Requirements

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifies business opportunities in the region by discovering prospects and regularly meeting with existing clients to understand their needs and explaining how our product works.
  • Sells suite of products on a case-by-case basis as well as pursuing larger programmatic relationships with new clients
  • Maintains relationships and quality service for clients by providing support, information, and guidance, researching and recommending options for new opportunities
  • Collaborates effectively to recommend new sales approaches or product improvements to better serve our clients and customers 
  • Participates in ongoing training to enhance your job skills and knowledge of the industry 
  • Must be willing to travel within assigned territory.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of former Sales experience within the Worker’s Compensation industry with a proven record of consistent success.
  • Understanding of the Worker’s Compensation Industry. 
  • Understanding the process of Worker’s Compensation claims.
  • A professional presence and strong interpersonal skills; comfortable building relationships with prospects, clients, and co-workers.
  • Dependability - consistency in time management, communication, and teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently on sales opportunities and to collaborate with home office efficiently.
  • Adaptability - the Regional Sales Director will have ease when adapting to a change in their environment, workload, or schedule.
  • Aptitude for timely problem solving and confidence to bring solutions to the table.
  • A strong desire for continuous learning for both yourself and for the organization's benefit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt your communication style with a change in audience.


A STRONG CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION WILL HAVE:
  • Familiarity with Workers Compensation Insurance and related infrastructure required to support members who are injured as part of a workplace accident.
  • Worker’s Compensation and/or Disability/Liability Insurance and Medicare Set Aside (MSA) knowledge or experience with sales in related insurance markets.
  • Product knowledge of Workers Compensation related services and a continued desire to pursue becoming a subject matter expert on company services.
  • Established network of industry-related professionals that have visibility into worker’s compensation claims and ability to utilize, direct and/or influence use of company products and services.
